Long Service Awards 2025
Congratulations to all this year’s Long Service Awardees.
July 2025 update
We are pleased to announce that, following the update below from earlier this year, this year’s Long Service Awards will start to be sent out this week.
Awards for operational volunteers will be sent to Regional Bases for onward distribution. Those for engagement volunteers will be sent to the lead engagement volunteer’s (e.g. branch chair, shop manager) home address.
Please note that the timescale for volunteers receiving their awards may be dependent on the presentation arrangements made by local teams.
Congratulations to all this year’s Long Service Awardees.
Please contact [email protected] if you have any queries.
2025 awards
The RNLI is very proud to have such incredible volunteers and we recognise their commitment to saving lives at sea with Long Service Awards.
In 2024, we recognised over 760 volunteers with a Long Service Award. That’s over 21,000 years of passion, talent and kindness, which is amazing.
How to request an award
Anyone who manages volunteers in a staff or volunteer capacity (including shop managers, branch chairs, and lifeboat operations managers) can put people forward for an award.
To request an award for an eligible volunteer, please visit the recognition and awards page on the Volunteer Zone and scroll down to the Long Service Awards section, or click here to complete the online form.
Please nominate any volunteer who is reaching a 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or 80-year milestone.
The deadline for making Long Service Award nominations is Sunday 16 March 2025.
Nominated recipients will then be contacted by email regarding their preferred choice of award – badge, medal, or clasp – and asked to respond within two weeks in order to get awards ordered and ready for distribution in July 2025.
