Find your float on World Drowning Prevention Day: Webinar
Join this webinar with our international and domestic water safety teams to hear how you can support World Drowning Prevention Day on 25 July, including the RNLI’s plans to encourage as many people as possible to learn and practise the lifesaving skill of floating.
It’s estimated that 300,000 people still die from drowning every year, and although every day is drowning prevention day for the RNLI, this World Health Organisation (WHO) global awareness day is an important moment. Now in its fifth year, it’s the perfect opportunity domestically to encourage all volunteers and staff to directly support drowning prevention work at our busiest time across Ireland and the UK, and also celebrate the RNLI’s vital international partnership projects that are helping to save lives all over the world.
We’re running two sessions to accommodate as many volunteers and staff as possible, but a recording will also be available after for those who can’t attend. We look forward to seeing you there.
