Loud and Clear 2025 is now available
The 2025 edition of Loud and Clear – the RNLI’s two-page resource full of facts and key messages about our charity – is now available for volunteers and staff to use. It’s a handy reference guide of key information to help when having conversations about the RNLI.
This year, we have made a few amends to Loud and Clear. First, we have produced a single version covering the UK and Ireland, rather than producing two separate versions. This has saved the RNLI money in print costs and, importantly, means we have one version, for one crew. All cost information within the document is given in pounds and euros.
Second, we have included the rescue statistics broken down by region, as well as the overall figures. Finally, we have expanded the section about the RNLI’s work in the English Channel – we know this is a polarising topic and we hope the additional messaging and context provided in this edition of Loud and Clear will be helpful to those in conversations on this subject. Remember, if you don’t feel safe or comfortable having a conversation on this subject, please do not feel you have to. Your safety always comes first.
Please remember that Loud and Clear is an internal document designed to give our people all the information they need when talking about the RNLI externally – it is not designed to be handed out to members of the public.

Will I get a hard copy?
Where possible, we encourage people to use the online version. If you use Loud and Clear regularly, we recommend saving the links to the ‘Favourites’ section on your web browser. Those who usually get a hard copy will receive a copy this year.
We hope you’ll find this edition of Loud and Clear useful. Please get in touch with the RNLI Press Office if you would like to share any feedback.
