The event featured the high-energy ska band Ratrace, who brought the house down and raised much-needed funds for the lifesaving charity. Known for their infectious rhythm and dynamic stage presence, the band had the audience dancing and skanking well into the night. The band’s high-octane performance was a hit, with classics and crowd favourites filling the air, creating a true celebration of ska music.

Mudeford RNLI volunteer Launch Authority, Graeme Staddon, who organised the event, shared his thoughts on the night, 'It was amazing to see so many people come together for such a great cause. As a lifesaving charity we depend on the support of the public to help us keep saving lives at sea.

'The energy in the room was incredible, and I’m thrilled that everyone enjoyed themselves while raising money to support the lifesaving work of Mudeford RNLI. It’s the community spirit that really makes events like this so special.'

Throughout the evening, the generosity of the crowd was evident, with nearly £2000 raised from ticket sales, a raffle, and donations, with all proceeds to the Mudeford RNLI Lifeboat Station.

The Mudeford RNLI Atlantic 85 lifeboat Henrietta H has launched five times this year so far and the volunteer crew attended 82 shouts in 2024.
