The Mudeford RNLI Atlantic 85 lifeboat, Henrietta H, launched at 2.43pm and the crew were on scene at 2.52pm.

Two of the crew were put ashore to assess the casualty with the CRT. The decision was made to transfer the casualty by stretcher to the lifeboat and return to Mudeford Quay where an ambulance would rendezvous with the crew.

The casualty was successfully extracted and was handed over to the paramedics on arrival. The crew then returned to station at 3.42pm.

Mudeford RNLI volunteer Launch Authority, Simon Challis, said, ‘The Lymington CRT identified this was an urgent situation with the casualty in need of medical attention. Due to his location on Barton beach, it was safer to extract the casualty onto the lifeboat and get him to paramedics waiting at Mudeford Quay. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.’
