What we doPlay these videos to help share our key water safety messages and bring the work of the RNLI to life for your young people.
A range of challenges add to children’s existing water safety knowledge. As they pass each challenge, they’ll collect virtual stamps in their Challenge Passport, which will appear on the slides.
The activity helps them learn how to reduce their chances of getting into danger in the water by identifying the hazards and understanding the risks for themselves.
It teaches them how to plan for a trip to a waterside location and find the information they need.
It also explores what happens to their bodies in cold water and what to do if they fall in unexpectedly – or if they see someone else in danger in the water.
They’ll also learn about the work the RNLI does: providing a lifeboat search and rescue service, seasonal lifeguards on beaches and supporting international drowning prevention programmes around the world.
